SB 1409

Existing law, the General Corporation Law, requires corporate boards to send a specified annual report to shareholders, consisting of, but not limited to, a balance sheet, an income statement, and a statement of cashflows accompanied by any report by independent accountants. This bill would specify that this requirement shall be considered satisfied if a corporation with an outstanding class of securities registered under specified provisions of federal law complies with certain federal regulations relating to the Internet availability of an annual report. This bill would declare that it is to take effect immediately as an urgency statute. Current Bill Status: February 28, 2008 referred to Banking, Finance and Insurance Committee.
